Meet the Masaai
Tanzania, casually referred to a TZ (Tee-Zed), is arguably one of the most culturally rich countries in all of Africa. It caters for all travel taste buds and allows you to experience rural and cityscape all at once.
It’s home to some of the greatest tourist destinations in Africa. We were so excited to experience the diverse wildlife, stunning landscapes, and rich cultural heritage. We did a little bit of this, a little bit of that, a whole lot of fun and doing together as a couple is definitely the cherry on top.
Sleeping in the wild
We spent a night in one of the main attractions in Tanzania, the Serengeti. The experience is quite breath-taking, sleeping in the wild where wild African animals reside, including lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and many more. It said that it’s one of the best places to witness the annual wildebeest migration, where millions of animals move across the plains in search of fresh grazing lands, but we didn’t get witness the migration. We had an early morning out on a safari ride and came up close to the animals, including a selfie we took close to the hippo pools. Another popular destination in Tanzania is Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. Although we didn’t summit the mountain, we still go to experience stunning views of the surrounding landscape and had an opportunity to witness the unique flora and fauna that thrive in the mountain's ecosystem.
